What it means
The R-110 sign prohibits entry to vehicles carrying products that pollute water. The prohibition depends on the load being carried and the risk it represents for the aquatic environment, not on whether the vehicle is large or small. It usually appears at accesses to bridges, areas near reservoirs, watercourses, water intakes, tunnels, or routes where that specific transport is to be avoided. When you see it, if you are driving an affected vehicle you must divert onto an authorised route and not continue for convenience. In the test it is often distinguished from other dangerous goods signs, so you must notice the reference to water.
