What it means
The R-506 sign indicates the end of minimum speed. From that point the previous obligation to travel at least at the signed speed no longer applies, but maximum limits, prudence, and the general road conditions remain in force. It does not mean that you may hinder traffic without reason or that other signs disappear. It is usually placed at the end of stretches where a minimum speed had been imposed for flow, gradients, lanes, or traffic layout. When you see it, adapt your speed to the new context and observe the following signs. In the test they often distinguish the end of a minimum from the end of a maximum or an advised speed.
