What it means
The R-402 sign indicates an intersection with mandatory rotating direction. It requires you to circulate around the island or roundabout in the indicated direction, also respecting the priority and signs that regulate entry or exit. It does not mean that you have automatic priority on arrival, but that once you enter you must follow the indicated rotation. It usually appears at roundabouts, mini-roundabouts, or intersections channelled by circular traffic. When you see it, slow down, observe those already circulating, and choose your exit in advance. In the test it is often distinguished from give way at a roundabout and from a simple path recommendation.
