What it means
The S-11b sign indicates a one-way carriageway. Its function is to confirm that traffic on that carriageway follows a single direction, although lanes, turns, or accesses may be regulated by other signs. It usually appears on streets or slip roads where the driver needs to recognise that there is no ordinary two-way traffic on the carriageway being used. When you see it, do not enter prohibited directions or interpret that you may perform any manoeuvre: keep reading markings, lanes, and panels. In the test it is often contrasted with mandatory arrow signs, because this informs of the carriageway direction, not a point turn order.
