What it means
The S-242a sign gives advance information on a motorway or dual carriageway for two very close exits toward any road and the continuing direction. It warns that in a short space there will be successive decisions: leave through one of the exits or continue on the main road. It usually appears at complex links where nearby destinations require choosing lane before reaching the first divergence. When you see it, identify which exit matches your route, respect the continuation if you go straight on, and avoid late corrections. In the test they often ask about the two close exits and the presence of a continuing direction.
