What it means
The S-33 sign indicates a cycle path. It informs of a route intended for cycles, normally separated or differentiated from general traffic according to the existing layout. It does not by itself turn the entire carriageway into cycling space, but identifies the infrastructure provided for that use. It usually appears at the start of cycling routes, promenades, urban connections, or adapted interurban stretches. When you see it, if you drive a motor vehicle you must respect the separation and avoid entering that space; if you ride a cycle, use it according to the signs. In the test it is often distinguished from a cycle lane, cycle road, and mandatory signs.
