Sign S-820: Extension of the prohibicion a un lado

Extension of the prohibicion a un lado
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — S-820

What it means

The S-820 sign indicates the extension of a prohibition to one side. It is a supplementary panel specifying to which side of the signed point the prohibition of the main sign applies, normally related to stopping, parking, or another restriction. It should not be interpreted in isolation, because its content depends on the upper sign and on the arrow or orientation of the panel. It is usually placed below vertical signs when the lateral scope of the prohibition needs to be defined. When you see it, read both signs together before deciding. In the test it is often distinguished from extension to both sides and from a mandatory direction.
