What it means
The S-250 sign gives advance notice of an itinerary. It indicates in advance the route that is convenient to follow to reach a destination, cross an area, or continue along a certain route, without by itself imposing an obligation if it is not accompanied by regulatory signs. It usually appears before junctions, diversions, urban accesses, roadworks, or areas where the driver needs to decide with margin. When you see it, check whether the itinerary matches your destination and prepare lane or manoeuvre progressively. In the test it is often distinguished from a mandatory sign and they ask that its main function is to guide before the decision point.
