What it means
The S-260 sign gives advance information about lanes. It shows in advance how the available lanes are organised, including their destinations, restrictions, or continuations, so that you can position yourself correctly before reaching the decision point. It usually appears at accesses, links, through roads, multi-lane stretches, or areas where distribution changes. When you see it, read each lane as part of a whole, confirm which one matches your route, and avoid late manoeuvres. In the test they often ask that it is an advance signing sign, not an isolated obligation unrelated to the lanes represented.
