What it means
The P-1d sign warns of an intersection where you have priority over traffic joining from the left. It means you remain on the priority road while other traffic may enter from that side, so you must keep checking laterally and avoid sudden manoeuvres even though you have priority. It appears before links, accesses, or junctions where the left-side merge may create conflict if it is not anticipated. When you see it, keep a clear path and make cooperation easier when the situation allows without giving up your priority. In the test they often check that you do not confuse it with an obligation to give way.
