Sign P-6: Cruce of tranvia

Cruce of tranvia
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — P-6

What it means

The P-6 sign warns of a tram crossing. It means that farther ahead the carriageway crosses or shares a point with tracks on which a tram may travel, so you must increase observation and respect any regulation you find. It usually appears in urban areas, through roads, or accesses where the tram layout may not be obvious until you are close. When you see it, moderate your speed, look both ways, and do not enter the crossing if you cannot pass it safely. In the test they often check that you treat it as a danger warning, not as a tram stop or automatic priority.
