What it means
The P-7 sign warns that a level crossing with barriers is nearby. It tells you that the road crosses a railway line at a point protected by barriers or half-barriers, but that does not remove the duty to pay extra attention and obey any light or sound signals you find. It usually appears before railway crossings where you may have to stop even if the track seems clear. When you see it, slow down in time, increase distance, and do not enter unless your exit is assured. In the test they often distinguish it from a level crossing without barriers and from approach panels.
