What it means
The R-111 sign prohibits entry to motorised agricultural vehicles. It applies to tractors, self-propelled agricultural machinery, and other vehicles in that family when they intend to enter the signed stretch, although other users may be authorised if there is no other restriction. It is usually placed on roads where the presence of these vehicles is not allowed for safety, traffic flow, or route layout reasons. When you see it, if you drive a motorised agricultural vehicle you must choose a permitted route and not enter for convenience. In the test they often ask which type of vehicle is affected, distinguishing it from carts, cycles, or animal-drawn vehicles.
