Sign S-101: Base of ambulancia

What it means

The S-101 sign informs of an ambulance base. It indicates the nearby presence of an ambulance health service, but it does not give special priority to a passing driver or by itself change the traffic rules. It is usually placed at accesses, streets, or points near facilities from which emergency vehicles may leave. When you see it, you should increase attention, avoid blocking accesses, and be ready to facilitate passage if an ambulance appears with priority signals. In the test they often check that you distinguish a service sign from a priority order: priority comes from the emergency vehicle situation, not from the sign.
