What it means
The S-102 sign informs of a technical vehicle inspection service. It indicates the presence or direction of a facility where the ITV inspection can be carried out, but it does not by itself impose an immediate obligation to enter or change the traffic rules. It usually appears at accesses to industrial estates, through roads, service areas, or roads near inspection stations. When you see it, if you are looking for that service prepare the manoeuvre in time, signal, and avoid braking unexpectedly. In the test it is usually treated as a service sign and they check that you do not confuse it with a specific administrative obligation at that point.
