Sign S-64: Carril bici o via ciclista adosada a la carriageway

What it means

The S-64 sign indicates a cycle lane or cycle track attached to the carriageway. It informs of the existence of a space intended for bicycles beside the main road, so you must expect cyclists and respect the separation and markings delimiting that space. It usually appears on urban stretches, accesses to cycle routes, or roads where bicycle traffic is organised beside the carriageway. When you see it, increase observation at crossings, turns, and door openings. In the test it is often distinguished from the sign for a path reserved for cycles and from a simple warning of cyclists.
