Sign S-120: Parque nacional

Parque nacional
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — S-120

What it means

The S-120 sign informs of a national park. It guides toward a protected natural area of interest, without by itself granting access, parking, or circulation permissions inside the park. It usually appears on tourist routes, accesses to natural areas, mountain roads, or panels guiding toward services and places of interest. When you see it, prepare any diversion in advance and pay attention to later signing, which will specify accesses, parking, or restrictions. In the test they usually classify it as a tourist or information sign, not as an animal warning, environmental danger, or authorisation to drive off the road.
