What it means

The S-225 sign gives advance directions on a motorway or dual carriageway toward any road. It informs in advance of the destinations or roads accessible from an exit or link, allowing you to choose a lane and prepare the manoeuvre without improvising. It does not require you to take the exit or by itself modify priority, speed, or lane-use rules. It usually appears before links on high-capacity roads when the exit connects with roads of different categories. When you see it, confirm your route and signal in time if you are exiting. In the test it is often distinguished from immediate exit signing.
