What it means
The S-232 sign gives advance information, with signs over the carriageway, for directions on a conventional road toward a motorway or dual carriageway. It links lanes and destinations before the decision point, indicating which path leads to the high-capacity road and which may correspond to continuation or other destinations. It usually appears before important links on conventional roads, where a late lane choice may create conflicts. When you see it, interpret the arrows, choose position in time, and do not change lanes abruptly. In the test they often ask that the sign is over the carriageway and guides toward a motorway or dual carriageway.
